Lallapura is a ward of Varanasi district consistingof 16 Mohallas i.e. Lallapura Khurd, Bada Chatara, Taad ka Bagicha, Pakki Walli Masjid, Bada Bagicha, Chota Bagh, Lallapura Pausara, Matakund, Kazipura, Lahangpura, Chota Chakra, Aurangabad, Nai Pokhari, Ali Sagar Fatman, Chunnu ka Khet.

Objective:

To enhance various livelihood and provide ICT based soft skills for women empowerment of Lallapura, Varanasi community

Brief: The project would bring benefits of ICT to Women, Youth and Student community in Lallapura cluster, Varanasi. A resource centre is proposed to established which will be equipped with appropriate CAD tool for artisans, healthcare facilities etc. Through this resource centre it is proposed

  • To deploy CAD software for Textile, Embroidery in Lallapura craft cluster
  • To provide Basic Computer skill training
  • To deploy healthcare based awareness software/ tools for women.
 
Achievements of Phase - I :

Livelihood enhancement through ICT -

  • Training of 1000 women artisans/ girls student for embroidery designing work, apparel design making, Khaka making (using CAD design tools) etc.
  • Creation of 1000 work design and 100 design khaka pattern by women artisans/girls
  • More than 1200 designs have been created using CHIC-CAD
  • Skill enhancement through ICT -

  • Training of 1045 women/ girls student in basic computer training
  • Health intervention through ICT -

  • 833 women/ girls empowered with the health awareness on the basic health issues i. e. sanitation, health and hygiene, malaria, chickenpox, waterborne disease, khasijukam, Tetanus, Roundworm
  • Online Marketing –

  • Locally handmade product are made available on E- Commerce websites through CSC, 11azzar, via Amazon, flip kart, Infibeam, eBay, snap deal.
  • Other achievements -

  • 751 ASHA/Aganwadi Workers trained under basic computer training
  • 26 student registered under NDLM
  • 21 students registered and completed for BBC & CCC courses
  • Adhar card making facilities provided at the center, more than 672 Adhar have been generated
  • More than 241 persons opened their Digital Account after awareness program regarding Digital Locker Camp

    Livelihood enhancement through ICT -

  • Training of 160 women artisans/ girls student for embroidery designing work, apparel design making, (using CHIC CAD design tools) etc.
  • Creation of 160 work design and 160 design khaka pattern by women artisans/girls
  • Training on E-Commerce and EDP -

  • Training of 99 women artisans/ girls student on E- Commerce and online marketing
  • Training of 87 women artisans/ girls student on Entrepreneurship Development Program
  • Assist to trained beneficiaries for financial linkage and business proposal
  • Approaching agencies/Institutions for financial assistance for beneficiaries willing to self-employment
  • Health intervention through ICT -

  • 460 women/ girls empowered with the health awareness on the basic health issues i. e. sanitation, health and hygiene, malaria, chickenpox, waterborne disease, khasijukam, Tetanus, Roundworm
  • Online Marketing –

  • Locally handmade product are made available on E- Commerce websites through CSC, 11azzar, via Amazon, flip kart, Infibeam, eBay, snap deal.
  • Other achievements -

  • 18 Workshop/Seminar organized at the center/outside center for CHIC-CAD, E-Commerce and EDP and linkage with government and nongovernment counterpart for market, financial linkage to better livelihood
